Why Sea Dragon? We live in a world where amazing causes, technologies and ideas are buried under agendas and politics or simply lost in the shuffle. Community needs are only met when it is politically expedient or lucrative for crony capitalists to see opportunity in lieu of altruism.

 

There is art that goes unseen from talented artists struggling for exposure, lack of access to education, or political censorship. There is news from around the world we never see. There are philosophies to discuss, environmental issues to solve, healthcare to provide, and social justice issues that must be resolved.

 

In Science, progress and innovation can be underfunded, even halted, if the project goes against the grain of programmed perspectives or divided political thought. Frequently the most profitable way supersedes the most ethical or sustainable way.

 

Stifling areas such as medicine and psychology, the current system tends to view mental health and poverty as character flaws instead of truly addressing the roots of these in their respective sciences.

 

We have an economy beholden to politics, corporate greed, and hyper-consumerism. We have social issues beholden to the economy. This only changes if we find an innovative way to connect causes with action and funding in a safe and focused environment. Together, we can innovate and make change. We can invest in our entire planet’s future by connecting, sharing, and ACTING.

 

Acting and focus is where other social media platforms are losing their luster. They have become sound boards where a lot of talk may be happening, but it lacks the incentives and algorithms to affect real change. Most platforms devolve into an often-negative space that brings a level of unhealthiness to our lives instead of being the powerful tools they promise.

 

We must be able to rise above the noise and focus on implementation of the better world we envision.

 

Posting on social media can bring awareness to an idea, a thing, a cause, or an injustice, but it’s momentum often sinks into the overwhelming sea of people where ideas settle somewhere near Davy Jones' locker, never affecting the change it could.

 

Sea Dragon will be a place to bring action out of the ether; make the thought tangible. Not only will members be able to support, engage, and help grow others’ projects and their own, Sea Dragon will have a team dedicated to seeking out the causes and projects that fly under the radar on our platform that could benefit from more exposure to other members. We want to recruit you and your projects. We want to develop your reach for financial and intellectual support while keeping you in charge of your projects. We will not have any ownership of your ideas, inventions, art, etc. We will only host and secure a space for you to see yours and others’ dreams come true.

 

Sea Dragon will focus those ideas to create action. You will have the ability to build a network of partners, consultants, mentors, investors, and builders to help inspire growth in your ideas. You can invite people to your team and video round-table discussions to brainstorm, refine, or gain feedback on your projects and causes.

 

“The Seven Seas”:

We roam a vast ocean of opportunity and information; Sea Dragon focuses member areas by creating “The Seven Seas”—7 separate sectors of society, with subcategories, that when combined can cause enormous change.

 

(Yes, I did catch that silly, gratuitous yet surprisingly unintentional, alliteration on my third proofread and am reluctantly deciding to keep it.) 

 

Projects, causes, and content and their respective member areas will be categorized:

• Science, Mathematics, and Technology

• Medicine and Psychology

• Wellness/Mindfulness/Self-Care

• Journalism, Environmentalism, and Human Rights

• Arts, Literature, Performance and Entertainment

• Philosophy, Religion, Noble Sciences, and Political science

• Economics, Business, and Finance

 

Of course, any member with a project posted in any “Sea” will be able to post, engage, team with, or support any other member from any other “Sea”. These categorizations are a means to allow better visibility for individual members in a vast network.

Each "Sea" will have corresponding education and professional development opportunities. Sea Dragon will be a place to broaden our horizons and access content that is healthy, mentally stimulating, and focused on our personal growth. Or just a neat place to have genuine, casual interaction. It's your place. You decide.

 

For members that do not wish to post projects of their own but instead wish to learn, engage, support, and help spread awareness of causes and projects dear to them, there is a free membership that allows access and engagement across the entire platform. You could even be sponsored for a free upgraded membership based on your engagement with existing projects and causes.

 

Of course, we need to sustain the platform with revenue, but we cannot fathom excluding anyone based on ability to afford the one-time membership fee, even as modest as the price may be. Our team will also be recruiting non-paying members for a sponsored upgrade to help them launch projects with promise.

 

We want to hear the incredible ideas from the individual or team experiencing economic, medical, or cultural barriers and/or discrimination as much as we want to see the ideas of those already established in their field. Our hope is these worlds will become merged to breed previously unimaginable new solutions.

 

We want to see the genius of anyone unheard, overlooked, or underprivileged work in tandem with established professionals and experts in their fields without fear of exclusion or judgment.

 

Sea Dragon will also implement options, settings, and tools for individuals with different sensory and communication needs.

 

The free membership includes the usual posting and sharing as with other popular social networks but with a twist… comments under posts are shared via video as well as text and drawing options.

 

We realize that reels and short videos are far more popular than reading long posts, regardless the quality. Being able to express yourself without the loss of tone or humor that occurs through text will produce better relationship building, resulting greater likelihood of action with your projects. Imagine sharing quick sketches or rough diagrams of an idea in real time? We want the ability to react and engage spontaneously, in real time, making deeper connections.

 

A virtual "Atlantis Pub" will be a place to hang out, meet new people, discuss ideas, or enjoy small talk while having the ability to earn, purchase, or gift another member an NFT (non-fungible token) "drink" or NFT "meal".

 

For a very limited example: an artist could pair up with a chef on Sea Dragon and create a recipe with its own artistic representation. If they mint an NFT, it could be uploaded and placed on the "Atlantis Pub" menu.   

 

This virtual pub also features cooperative, solo, and competitive gaming will be accessible to all members who can be invited to your table to play a game or chat with your group. As we are also entering the metaverse, these features will become more immersive than we ever imagined as technology continues to advance.

 

Developing relationships of trust and mutual respect is the key to making this platform reach its full potential.

 

We will never be anything but supporters of responsible free speech… but this is a platform for ideas and bringing them to action. There are plenty of places to post partisan politics, negative outbursts, and name-calling. Sea Dragon is NOT that place.

 

Memberships will not be permitted for political parties or organizations. There is a forum for Political Science where ideas and philosophies are discussed. “Let’s go Brandon” or “Trump should be in prison!” are not discussions. Discussions involve solutions and authentic thought with the ability to acknowledge the opposing viewpoint. If you would like to write a thesis on why corruption in politics must be prosecuted to ensure justice, that fits our model.

 

As members on Sea Dragon, we present the issue, cause, or problem, offer our studied and contemplated solution or idea or posed question, we collaborate and refine, and then create a roadmap to action if one is not implemented already.

 

Furthermore, Sea Dragon is not a space for political campaigns, ads, or candidate accounts. We encourage governmental entities and elected representatives to obtain memberships to assist, hear, and engage with the community.

Accounts of elected officials will be subject to strict adherence to our policies disallowing partisanship, divisive rhetoric, and incitement of violence. As with every other member on the Sea Dragon platform, they have access to other social networks to freely offer their political opinion or engage in expression that does not fit our model.

 

Their accounts, if they choose to participate, will be used for transparency, sharing information, important public service announcements or emergencies, and working alongside their constituents and entire Sea Dragon community.

 

Elected officials’ participation would be such a boon to their communities and beyond if the platform is used properly with the intention of creating a better world for everyone.

 

Unethical organizations will not be permitted membership. We also wish to eliminate the threat of bots, fake accounts, scammers, and so on. This is a place for action. We need a certain focus to achieve our goals and toxic negativity and partisan, political agendas are what we are going to avoid.

 

There will be a strict adherence to the terms and user agreements that every member signs. Inappropriate behavior as per the rules will be subject to bans and suspensions.

 

Example:

Someone posts an invention or project looking for support, exposure, funding, or collaboration and the commenter replies, “This is stupid. You’re dumb.” The commenter will have their comments suspended and be subject to expulsion from the platform altogether.

 

Our aim is to make Sea Dragon an online recreation of the Library of Alexandria and the Salons of Ancient Greece, where ideas are civilly debated and exchanged, refined, and planned for action. We want to host access to an unprecedented library of texts, available in an instant, for anyone to read, in any language. We are witnessing books being banned in 2022. Let's counter that with wider access.

 

This will be a platform of learning and innovation as well as casual enjoyment and communing together to uplift and grow.

 

We cannot create real, authentic relationships, especially online, spanning many cultures, if we allow our lesser instincts to shout over the wonderful ideas being shared.

Calling our online tormentors "trolls" misrepresents a fantastic and fun mythological people. At Sea Dragon, we call them mice.

 

Mice only show up when things are left unattended and messy; we promise our platform will not be left unattended. One of our highest logistical goals is to keep Sea Dragon a tidy space, free of negativity, spam, scams, and “mice not trolls”, where people can truly work on their projects and connections without unnecessary stress or distraction.

 

“The Seven Seas” are a workspace. They are a place of exploration, inspiration, cooperation, support, and application. What workplace allows, “That sucks, you’re stupid!” shouted over your shoulder as you work through your process?

 

If your workplace is like that example…  Sea Dragon will help you find a better place to showcase your gifts and talents. We are not here to be stuck doing what we hate.

 

Constructive criticism with language of openness for healthy discussion and mindful feedback is NOT a negative example and is appropriate unless the other party requests otherwise… you know, like good coworkers and neighbors should strive to be… crazy thought.

 

We will strive daily to keep Sea Dragon free of mice.

 

The policies we put in place are intended to create a specific environment to allow us all to accomplish our highest and best. It will take all of us, every member, to make this happen.

Our team will be developing relationships with industry leaders, universities, and think tanks all over the world. We will have a network of experts that will dedicate their time reviewing, engaging, and assisting with projects and causes across the “Seas”. You may be posting an idealistic, long-shot idea from your laptop in a town of 200 people, and someone with the ability, knowledge, or influence could engage and elevate your idea.

 

We want the unlikely success story. We want successful partners and consultants that want to give back to their community in any way they can. “The Seven Seas” will have accessible experts and innovators in their respective fields.

Yes, to post projects that can request funding or donations, there is a membership fee. However, 80% of that fee is allocated to your own personal crypto wallet so you can fund your projects or others on the platform.

 

This brings immediate utility to the Drake token. Additionally, each new Sea Dragon member will increase the possible value of the token. More memberships mean more holders and utility of the Drake.

Your Sea Dragon membership is an investment.

At the end of every quarter, our transaction fees collect for all usage of Drake token whether through Sea Dragon, swaps, or exchanges will be allocated as follows:

30% of blockchain transaction fee revenue will go back to members. 15% equally distributed to all paid membership accounts and 15% will be allocated to projects that are top voted by all members.

The remaining 70% will be used to grow Sea Dragon and support staffing and infrastructure.

Not only can you obtain funding and donations by joining, you will also receive quarterly dividends on your membership. As Sea Dragon grows, so do your dividend amounts. These earnings will be yours to do with as you wish. You may hold the Drake tokens, anticipating a rise in value, short term or long term, or you can exchange these tokens for other crypto assets or fiat currency of your choosing.

 

The beauty of donating and funding to projects and causes with the Drake token is you may only have donated $5 worth of tokens to a certain project, but as Sea Dragon grows, that small $5 donation could exponentially multiply. You gave $5, they held the tokens until your $5 is then worth 10, 20, 100, 1000… Who knows? It’s up to the community. Even the smallest donation will become much more over time. Every token helps.

Say you donate $5 USD, that $5 may be worth less tomorrow if not spent immediately due to inflation. Using Drake for funding will make each donation, large or small, have greater opportunity for impact than a donation of fiat currency, long term.

If members hold and use the token wisely, they may never again have to use out of pocket money to donate to causes within the Sea Dragon community.

 

As for non-paying members, there will be play-to-earn games and Drake tokens earned are available for both donation and exchange as well. Free members may also use the earned tokens to upgrade their membership.

 

The only difference between free and paid memberships:

Paying memberships receive quarterly dividends derived from the 30% our transaction fees AND have authorization to post content requesting donations, funding, as well as sell tickets for events and streamed entertainment.

After on-boarding an initial, foundational team, the dev wallet will be restricted as to not allow more than 1% cash out during any given financial quarter.
